Sing To The Lord...

Yep, that's the title of the first song that I sang Thursday night! I was in ETYC (East Texas Youth Chorus) Choir. We sang four songs that sounded beautiful! It was a world hunger benefit concert, so we were not the only group. The Winds Symphony, Kilgore College Choral, and ETYC participated in the concert. There was also a man that sang Panis Angelicus beautifully! When he walked up on stage I was thinking I wonder what this person is going to sound like. He was was a huge man that reminded me of a big gentle Teddy bear. The long intro kept me anxiously waiting the first note. Finally after what seemed to be three minutes he sang the first note. I was completely stunned by the perfectness of his voice! He sounded like a professional! It was breath takingly beautiful! I couldn't believe my eyes and ears! After he sang his solo he stood still until the last note was played and then he bowed and put a hand out to Mr. Kelly and he bowed as well. He kept bowing until all the clapping stoped and then walked off the stage with a huge smile on his face. Another thing that was neat was that he didn't use any music! He had memorized the whole thing! The whole concert went really well, except for the fact that I sang the altos part instead of my part on Climb'n Up the Mountain, but it turned out ok. I need to go now. Sorry for the short post, maybe I'll have more time later for a longer one but at least I posted right!
