Loco means crazy!

I'm just about done with the hallway!!! It does get tiring sometimes but as I have said, it is fun! We finished up with the garage sale. I despise east TX humid heat. It was 102 degrees here and we were outside! I think we all got a little dehydrated. :( I'm sorry, I am thinking on the negative side of things, maybe I should be thinking on the positive side of things, huh? We did make some $$ (it was all donation). It was hilarious to see my mom try to speak Spanish! She would say "everything is donacion. Me and my sposo (hand motions during the hole thing) have ocho ninos! response from some "oh oh oh". One couple that had one child walked off laughing saying something like "blank blank blank blank loco" (I couldn't understand everything but my mom and I busted out laughing because we both new what loco meant (it means crazy). So that was our garage sale experience. He, he, he. P.s. I barely now Spanish myself.

Sticky Feet

Finally, I've had this blog for what, two weeks now and I'm just now blogging. Julia told me that when I post, she'll comment. :) So here I go! Today was a busy day for me. I painted the hallway ceiling and tomorrow I'll be painting the trim, doors, and walls (maybe it will take a little longer than that). It took a lot of patience and thought. You'd think that painting would be a breeze, but, it wasn't. It was a lot of fun though and it gives you a great sense of accomplishment. We had gotten the paint a couple weeks ago and haven't finished yet.

My feet got sticky with the paint and so it was sticking to the plastic drop cloth. That felt kind of wiered on my feet. My dear, sweet, Mother went to Lifeway to use a gift card and brought some quarters to get me a frosty (mmmm....), because I was working so hard. Oh, and it was chocolate, which is even better! I took a shower after that and had to wash paint out of my hair and off of my feet! It was funny, when I was cleaning the paint brushes and rollers outside with the water hose, I made the water hose spin the roller so that the water and paint would splatter every where. It was getting me all wet and Matthew came outside and said, "hey Beks you're getting all wet". I said "I know but, this is the day that I'm getting 'dirty' ", (my mom has a hard time getting me outside often enough). Matthew said "huh" (I just knew that he was thinking 'She's getting wet with paint all over'?) Any way it felt good to accomplish something great for my family and have fun. Now I can go to bed feeling like I did something great today!
