I know, I know! I'm just now posting about Thanksgiving. Give me a break though! I've been busy...busy...busy.
No... really we Had a great Thanksgiving. We didn't spend time with family, which would have been great, but we did have a fun and adventurous Thanksgiving! We went to the Walters house on Wednesday and had a bonfire, in the process catching their neighbors tree on fire! Oh...it was fun and back breaking to be running from the house to the tree with buckets, trash cans, pitchers, Balloons (filled with water), Squirt guns, water hoses, tall cups and whatever we could get our hands on! Literally! I'm not joking! Oh and we were sort of panicking too. Well, maybe just us girls.
The next day we went to the Allegrezza's house and had a great time there also! Not as adventurous though.
On Friday we completed our Thanksgiving celebration by having the Walters come over to our house! We learned that the next day after the fire the neighbors had decided to just burn down the entire tree! Oh, all...that work for nothin'!!! Why couldn't we have just let it go. I don't know but right now I'm having a video come to mind that we watched in youth group, about some people actually "worshiping" trees! I know it's crazzzzy but it happens. One of the people in the video was saying "save the trees, save the trees"! No don't save the trees we learned our lessen from that! You'll get back aches and then learn that your neighbor just went ahead and burned down the stinkin' tree!
Oh it was fun though, in the midst of the craziness! We thanked God that nobody got burned! Or at least I think nobody got burns...hmmm.
P.S. We also played scum with the Walters so now I know how to play it!

What is a friend?
What Is A Friend?
A friend is somebody
Who knows you and likes you
Exactly the way that you are.
Someone who's special
And so close in thought
That no distance can ever seem far.
A friend understands you
Without any words,
Stands by you
When nothing goes right.
And willingly talks
Over problems with you
Till they somehow
Just vanish from sight.
And whether you're neighbors
Or live miles apart,
A word from a friend gives a lift
To your heart and spirit.
That shows you once more
Why friendship is life's dearest gift!

I'm so glad God provided us with friends. I have some awesome friends that God has given to me. He is so good to care for us in little areas like this. Only God truly knows our needs, and He knew that we need friends sometimes to laugh with or have a shoulder to cry on, or just a friend to talk to. Sometimes even your siblings are your friends. I'm still trying to be a best friend to me siblings first and then my other friends. :) There is just something different in talking to my sister vs. one of my friends.
Thank you God for giving us good friends to laugh and cry with.

Pictures of the last few months.
Ohhh, my goodness what a long time it has been since I've posted. I feel kind of bad because I haven't been keeping people in touch. :( It's funny though I 'll take pictures at different places and be thinking in the back of my head I'm going to put this on my blog when I get home. Then It just gets busy or I forget to do it. So if you don't mind I'm just going to put a bunch of pictures on here and explain them!
Sorry this one might be a little gross, but, we all thought it was interesting. These are baby spiders.
These were taken at my quilting class last month.I'm quilting at the Jarvis' house and I'm having so much fun and it has been a great skill to learn, very difficult, but fun!
This is a beautiful quartz rock that came from a much bigger one that was about 10in. in length and about 10-20 pounds. I went to a friend's house and we smashed the rock into smaller pieces this one was my favorite one. She kind of pulled me out of my comfort zone (My friend Mary is working on turning me into an outdoorsy type of girl).
This is the last picture and one that I actually took today. This is what I did today at the Jarvis' house. I hope to have a picture of my progress with quilting each month.
Well goodnight to all. I'm getting sleepy. =o 'Tis time to go to bed. Hope you enjoyed the pics. I will work on updating my blog more often than once every few months. :)
This one was taken on our way back home from Uvalde (90 mi west of San Antonio) when we went to see my Mimi and Paw-paw.
This is my Mom's mom. She is the best Mimi in the world! Love you Mimi!
This was also from the same trip. Its a cute little cottage, I just had to take a picture!

Have you ever canned peaches?
I hadn't, untill a week and 1/2 ago. :) My sisters and I went to some friends house and canned peaches. We had fun boiling the peaches. We boiled them for about, 1 minute.
Then we let them soak in cold water for about, 10 seconds. Then we did the fun and slimy part of getting the bad parts and the skin off.
Then we cut up the peaches and scraped some of the red stuff out of the centers.
It was so much fun canning peaches! This was my first time. I hope I'll remember how to do it, because this would be a very helpful thing to do in the future when I have a home of my own.
Well, goodnight, It's getting late, I need to go to bed. Bye.
